We are working in partnership with The Ecological Sequestration Trust and Groundwork London to offer a service to people who wish to get out and be more active in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
The Ecological Sequestration Trust and Groundwork London have been working closely with groups of people over the age of 50 who are digitally excluded and at risk of social isolation. We know how important socialising is for your physical, social and mental wellbeing so it is key to offer a service that encourages people to get out, be active and as much as possible with and meet others!
From the summer we will pilot a service that will be advertised in newspapers across the local boroughs which aims to inform people who sign up about the activities that they could do in the park.
Individuals will send a text message to the dedicated number and then over 3 months receive suggestions of activities to undertake in the following days. The activities that will be suggested have been carefully vetted and agreed with the groups of people that we have consulted with ensuring they will be of interest and relevant to the demographic.
We want as many people to benefit from this service as possible, keep your eye out in the free local papers to hear about it and encourage your friends and family to sign up!
