Chief Information Technology Officer
Jarmo Eskelinen is CITO at Future Cities Catapult.
Jarmo was the CEO of Forum Virium Helsinki, the innovation lab of the City of Helsinki, Finland, from 2006 to 2016. Prior to that, he’s been the executive director of the Media Centre Lume of the Aalto University and program director of the Helsinki 2000 European Capital of Culture. Jarmo was also an entrepreneur in a successful concert promotion company in the 90’s. Originally trained as an architect, he is an expert in smart cities.
Jarmo is a council member and former president of the European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL), a vice-chair of the international Open & Agile Smart Cities network, and regularly advises the European Commission and other policy makers in (smart) city related issues.
Urban Design and Planning Lead
Euan Mills has been leading the Future of Planning programme at Future Cities Catapult.
Euan is an Urban Designer with 16 years’ experience working in the built environment industry. He spent 6 years providing design advice to the Mayor of London and his planning team, and contributed towards a number of key planning policy and research documents. Before this he worked at Urban Initiatives developing master plans and regeneration strategies for public and private sector. Euan has also set up the Chatsworth Road Neighbourhood Forum and Traders and Residents Association.
Global Cities Lead
Dr Amy Hochadel is a global cities expert at Future Cities Catapult.
Amy has over two decades of experience in politics & public policy and community & government relations. She develops projects and works with private clients and governments in the United Arab Emirates, India, Malaysia and across the United Kingdom and European Union.
Her Doctorate is from King’s College London in Global Political Economy, and she specialises in enabling local governments around the world to build international economies and future resilience. Her new book, Local Leadership in a Global Era focuses on the types of policies local governments need to adopt and the behaviours they need to exhibit if they hope to thrive in the global innovation economy.
Senior Bid and New Business Manager
Stefan leads the design, development and delivery of projects across the Future Cities Catapult, in particular our Future of Planning programme.
Before joining the Future Cities Catapult he worked for different local authorities, including the Greater London Authority where he worked on spatial policy and strategy for the Thames Gateway and Olympic Legacy development.
